Fourth Street is now back open to traffic following a large construction project! The street was resurfaced from Audubon Blvd. to Ella Sharp Park, and the roundabout at West Ave. was reconfigured. It was taken from two lanes to just one lane to make it easier to drive around. Along with smooth pavement, you will also see new sidewalks and curbs in some areas, along with increased pedestrian access. A new pedestrian crossing was installed in front of the Middle School for kids walking to and from school, and people using the bus stop. The intersection of Fourth/Horton/Stonewall is still closed to traffic. That part of the project will wrap up at the end of August.
