The Jackson Police Department created the Citizens Police Academy (CPA) to give citizens of Jackson County the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of our daily operations and standard procedures. It is a 10-week course that meets once a week for approximately 90 minutes. Though the program is designed to give the public a working knowledge of local law enforcement personnel and policies, it is not intended for the sole purpose of instructing those looking to start a career in law enforcement. It also does not qualify any of the participants to work in law enforcement.
If you are interested in signing up for the CPA,
download the application and submit it to the Jackson Police Department.
