An annual event that celebrates the community’s progress over the past year and looks toward the future is returning to Jackson. The City of Jackson is planning the 2024 State of the City Address for Wednesday, March 20. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is taking place at the City Center in Downtown Jackson.
This will be Mayor Daniel Mahoney’s third State of the City Address. Mayor Mahoney is starting his second term in office after winning reelection in Nov. 2023. Launched in 2018, the annual event is a time for the community to reflect the City’s accomplishments over the past year and set priorities for the next year. More event details will be released closer to the address.
The event is free and open to residents. A live stream of the address will be available on the City’s YouTube page. The City Center (former Masonic Temple facility) is located at 145 W. Cortland Street. The historic building is being converted into a downtown community center with an incubator kitchen and food service training center.
