Drivers in the City of Jackson will want to prepare for the closure of a busy street. N. Winser Street is closing to traffic between W. Michigan Avenue and Wildwood Avenue starting Thursday, May 30 so crews from the Department of Public Works can connect a newly constructed home to the City’s water and sewer system.
A new single-family home that’s under construction at the corner of N. Wisner Street and Wildwood Avenue is getting water service installations. The street will be closed for the safety of DPW crews and so the street surface can be repaired following the installations. Wildwood Avenue will remain open to traffic during the construction.
The DPW says the closure is likely to end on Friday, May 31 but could last through Monday, June 3 if there are weather delays. Access to businesses and homes will be maintained throughout the closure. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes around the construction area.
