Engine One reporting for duty! The Jackson Fire Department is welcoming a new fire truck to its fleet at the Central Fire Station. Engine One was purchased using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds from the federal government.
The modern fire truck will help fire crews respond more efficiently to emergencies. Having dependable equipment that's ready to go at a moment's notice is important for the safety of the community and firefighters.
Engine One replaces an aging rig that is now in reserve status, meaning the old truck can be brought out when needed. Be sure to wave hello when you see our fire crews out in this beautiful new truck!
