Residents looking to make connections with local police officers have an upcoming opportunity. Jackson’s Coffee With a Cop event is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Jackson Police Department.
Coffee with a Cop is a national program that brings together police officers and community members for casual conversations to build trust and relationships. Jackson’s event is hosted by the Jackson Police Department and will feature free coffee and donuts. The coffee is provided by the Jackson Coffee Company. Officers from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Blackman-Leoni Township Public Safety and Michigan State Police are also attending.
The event will be held in the back parking lot of the Jackson Police Department, 209 E. Washington Avenue. There is a one-way driveway through the parking lot that the goes behind the police station. Participants are instructed to enter the parking lot using the one-way entrance on the east side of the building and leave using the one-way exit on the west side of the building. Participants may park and walk up to the event area or drive through to receive free coffee and donuts. Please be aware that visitor parking is limited at the police station.
