Greenwood Avenue in the City of Jackson closed to traffic on Thursday, Nov. 14 for water and sewer installations. The City’s Engineering Division expects the street to be closed between W. Morrell and W. Wilkins streets for up to three weeks. The closure is happening so crews can safely connect The Greenwood Apartments to the City’s water and sewer systems.
Currently under construction, The Greenwood Apartments will be a three-story, 51 unit apartment complex. Greenwood Avenue is a major thoroughfare that connects Downtown Jackson to several west side neighborhoods. A detour is posted. Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes around the closure. Updates will be posted on the City’s website and Facebook page.
