Residents in Jackson’s First Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Arlene Robinson is holding a neighborhood meeting for the First Ward on Tuesday, April 22, 6 p.m. at the MLK Recreation Center.
Councilmember Robinson organized the neighborhood meeting for residents to get information about the following:
- S. MLK Drive construction project that’s starting in May
- Beautification grants for the S. MLK Drive and Prospect Street corridors
- Updates on the City’s 100 Homes and Home Rehabilitation programs
- City parks in Ward 1
- Smoke alarms from Jackson Fire Department
- MLK Corridor Improvement Authority Entrepreneurial Grant update
Ward 1 covers Jackson’s south side neighborhoods. All residents are welcome to attend. The MLK Center is located at 1107 Adrian St.
