Jackson residents are invited to a community meeting to learn about planned improvements for a local park and give feedback. The MLK Center Community Input Meeting is happening Wednesday, Nov. 1, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with the Jackson Community Foundation to apply for a State of Michigan grant. If the grant is awarded, funds will be used to provide a new playground, pavilion and adult exercise equipment for the Howard Woods Recreation Complex, which is the park surrounding the MLK Center. Engaging residents on what they’d like to see in the park is an important part of the application process.
Meeting participants will enjoy pizza, refreshments, and door prizes. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend. The MLK Center is located at 1107 Adrian St.
