The City of Jackson is launching its first cycle of early voting for the Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. Due to changes approved by voters in the Nov. 2022 election, all registered voters have the right to cast ballots starting the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before the election.
Early voting for the Feb. 27 election will be available at the City of Jackson’s early voting site, which is the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 2nd Floor, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201, during the following dates and times.
- Saturday, Feb. 17, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 18, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 19, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Feb. 20, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 21, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 22, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 24, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 25, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Voters will follow the same procedures as they would voting in-person on Election Day at their polling place. In-person voting at polling places on Election Day is not impacted. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 for voters to cast ballots. The submission of absentee ballots is also not affected by this change. Early voting only applies to State and federal elections.
