A special meeting of the Jackson City Council is planned for Thursday, Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m. Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns and the ending of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Orders, the meeting will be held outside in the parking lot behind Jackson City Hall at 161 W. Michigan Avenue.
The meeting is organized so the council can discuss and consider the issuance of 2020 special assessment bonds. This is the first in-person meeting the City Council has held since March.
The public is welcome to attend this meeting, but City officials recommend continuing to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines.
