Second Ward City Councilmember Freddie Dancy held a neighborhood meeting Monday, April 26 on the Zoom platform to meet with residents virtually.
The proposed Neighborhood Association Ordinance was discussed at the virtual event. Reviewed by the City Council at their last meeting, the ordinance outlines neighborhoods in Jackson and creates a framework for residents to start a neighborhood association that’s affiliated with the City. The ordinance is intended to increase connections amongst neighbors and foster neighborhood identities. Councilmember Dancy says he’d like to hear resident feedback on the ordinance.
A recording of the meeting is available on this page.
