On Monday, April 12, 2022, the
Jackson Police Department received information from several different citizens of suspicious telephone calls they had received. A male caller advised they were Sergeant Pete or Officer Pete from the Jackson Police Department. The male caller attempted to solicit personal identifying information. The Jackson Police Department wants to notify the public that these calls are bogus are not from the Jackson Police Department.
As always, the public should never give personal identifying information over the telephone unless they are certain who they are speaking with.
