Residents in Jackson’s Third Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Angelita V. Gunn is holding a neighborhood meeting for Jackson’s Third Ward in the cafeteria of Northeast Elementary School on Monday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m.
Elected to serve the Third Ward in the Nov. 2021 election, this will be Councilmember Gunn’s first neighborhood meeting. She organized the meeting for residents to get updates on the Racial Equity Commission, affordable housing efforts, street construction, and the impacts of ward redistricting on the neighborhood.
Northeast Elementary School is located at 1024 Fleming Ave. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend. The Third Ward is comprised of the northeast side of Jackson.
