About the Program
The City of Jackson offers a no interest, low repayment, short term loan to income qualified homeowners to help avoid emergencies by replacing major home systems that are at or near the end of their effective useful life.
Major Component Replacement
- Used to repair certain major components that have outlived or are nearing the end of their effective useful life before they become an emergency.
- Major Components may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Structural Repairs
- Roof/Gutter System
- Plumbing systems
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Ingress/Egress
To be eligible, you must own AND occupy your home as your primary residence, and and be current on all property taxes, special assessments, utilities, mortgages, etc. Your combined household income cannot exceed the amounts list below, based on the number of people living in the home (both adults and children):

More Details
- Maximum loan amount of $25,000
- All hazards must be repaired up to City Code
- Only applicants whose household income is less than 80% of median income are eligible, as defined by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
